My name is Embla and as you might have guessed: I’m an amateur photographer. I just got my B.A. in literature from the University of Iceland and am going through my mid-twenties-crisis (is that a thing? It should be a thing) and I have no idea where my life is leading me and I have to admit: it’s kind of thrilling and refreshing not knowing what’s going to happen next. Right now I’m living in Reykjavik, Iceland where food and music run the town but it’s always freeing to get out of the city and enjoy the glaciers and abandoned farmhouses.
There are several things that inspire me and my photography: literature, my surroundings, music, wine and food (wine being the most important, obviously). The camera I mainly use is a Sony Alpha 300 but I have recently gotten my hands on a Pentax K1000 and I am trying to master film photography.
